The Medical Technology (MT) area is responsible for over 63,000 medical technology products found in hospitals, health centers, and dental clinics within Region Östergötland. We have a large management and development operation with a mission that includes user support, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, operational customer dialogue, market monitoring, and procurement of medical technology equipment. MT also contributes technical expertise in the procurement of new products and systems as well as in development and construction projects.

Job Description

We are now looking for someone who wants to contribute to creating and developing medical technology conditions for care in Östergötland and work together with colleagues in medical technology towards the operational goal of “Safe care every time.” You will become part of a team that works with medical technology equipment.

Your daily tasks will include troubleshooting and preventive maintenance as well as delivery and commissioning of medical technology equipment. Depending on your interests, there are also great opportunities to work on larger projects within the medical technology field, both internally, regionally, and nationally.

About You

We prefer that you are a technician. You have good knowledge of Swedish and master technical English in both speech and writing. Competence and experience in IT are advantageous as many of today’s medical technology devices are integrated with IT systems.

A B driver's license is a requirement as travel in the service to, for example, health centers and in some cases patients at home for preventive and troubleshooting maintenance is part of everyday life.

You are a positive problem solver with a great interest in technology and have the ability to remain calm and prioritize your time in stressful situations with many concurrent tasks. You see the whole in your actions but can also dive into detail within your area. You are service-oriented, quality-conscious, and flexible with the ability to work independently as well as together with others. The mindset of “better all the time” comes naturally to you, and you have the will to constantly work to improve your own work as well as the medical technology operation.

We offer a permanent full-time position at Medical Technology, Vrinnevisjukhuset in Norrköping or University Hospital in Linköping. Start date will be agreed upon, and the employment begins with an introduction tailored to your individual needs.
